  • Inclusion In Action: Recreation For All Ages

    December 3, 2018  9:30 am - 11:30 am

    The Need
We know that the elderly are at high risk of social isolation as they age, particularly if they live in seniors homes. This is a common concern as the elderly are adjusting to new stages of their life, and may be losing people who are close to them. There is a high correlation between social isolation and an advanced death or decline in mobility. This is a critical time to foster social interaction and a feeling of connectedness, in order to lengthen their lives and provide greater fulfillment.

    The Fulfillment
The MISSION of the Plugged In Community Centre Organization (Plugged In) is to provide events, activities, and programs that promote inclusive and supportive opportunities for members of the St. Albert, Edmonton, Sturgeon County, and surrounding area communities, regardless of age, ability or any other potentially segregating factors.

Inclusion in Actions mission is to provide the very wise community members a chance to play, create, sing and live like they were kids again, being free & silly like children.

Our Vision is A community where no one is left behind; where all are nurtured; and included as productive members of society.
